VertexClass ("VertexClass", "we", "us", or "our") operates vertexclass.com and provides online learning and AI-powered career tools. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how it may be shared with service providers, and the choices you have. Questions can be sent to hello@vertexclass.com.

Information we collect

• Account data: your name, email address, profile information and account preferences. If you sign in with Google, we may receive your Google profile name, email address and picture. We never receive your Google password.
• Resume and AI tool data: information you choose to provide, such as work experience, education, skills, professional summaries, job titles, resume content and job descriptions.
• Survey and feedback data: answers you voluntarily provide, such as your preferred programming language, experience level, learning goals and course feedback.
• Usage and analytics data: pages visited, features used, device and browser information, referral information, interaction events and approximate location derived from your IP address. We may use Google Analytics to understand site usage.
• Subscription data: when you purchase VertexClass Pro, Stripe processes your payment. We may store limited subscription information such as your Stripe customer and subscription identifiers, plan, subscription status and renewal or expiration information. VertexClass does not store your full credit or debit card number.

How we use your information

• To create, authenticate and secure your account.
• To provide courses, learning resources and career tools.
• To generate, improve, analyze and format AI-powered resume content.
• To manage VertexClass Pro subscriptions and AI credit limits.
• To provide customer support and important service communications.
• To understand usage and improve our products, courses and features.
• To detect abuse, fraud and security problems.
• To comply with applicable legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information.

AI-powered features

Some VertexClass features use artificial intelligence. Information you submit to an AI-powered feature may be sent to an AI service provider, including Anthropic, to generate the result you request. AI-generated content may contain errors or inaccurate information, so you should review it before relying on or submitting it. Do not submit passwords, financial account numbers, government identification numbers, medical information, or other highly sensitive information that is not necessary for the feature.

Service providers

We use third-party providers to operate VertexClass, including Supabase for authentication and database infrastructure, Vercel for hosting, Stripe for subscription and payment processing, Anthropic for certain AI-powered features, Google for sign-in and analytics, and Udemy for distribution and sale of certain courses. These providers may process information as necessary to provide their services and are subject to their own privacy policies and terms.

Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication, security and maintaining your signed-in session. Analytics technologies, including Google Analytics, may be used to understand site usage. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but disabling essential cookies may prevent some VertexClass features from working.

Data retention and security

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain accounts and subscriptions, meet legal or accounting requirements, resolve disputes, and prevent fraud or abuse. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information, but no internet service or electronic storage method can guarantee absolute security.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights relating to your personal information. You may contact us to request access, correction or deletion of certain personal information, or to stop certain communications, at hello@vertexclass.com. Some information may need to be retained where required by law or for legitimate business, security, fraud prevention or accounting purposes.

Children's privacy

VertexClass is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that such information has been collected, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

International processing

Our service providers may process or store information in countries other than the country where you live. Your information may therefore be subject to the laws of those jurisdictions.

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
