Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your use of vertexclass.com and the services provided by VertexClass. By creating an account, purchasing a subscription, or using VertexClass, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

VertexClass services

VertexClass provides online educational and career-development tools, including programming and computer science learning resources, cheatsheets, AI-powered resume and career tools, resume creation and management, courses, and related learning resources. Some features are free and others require a VertexClass Pro subscription.

Your account

You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for activity on your account. Please provide accurate information. You may not share an account to avoid subscription limits or give unauthorized users access to paid features. We may suspend or terminate accounts involved in abuse, fraud, unauthorized access, or attempts to circumvent service limits.

Free plan

VertexClass may provide a free plan with limited access to certain features. Features, usage limits and AI credit allowances associated with the free plan may change over time.

VertexClass Pro

VertexClass offers paid Pro subscriptions. Pro Monthly is currently $12 USD per month and Pro Yearly is currently $99 USD per year. Applicable taxes may be added where required. The price displayed during checkout is the price applicable to your purchase. We may change subscription prices in the future in accordance with applicable law and provide notice where required.

Automatic renewal and payments

VertexClass Pro is a recurring subscription. Unless you cancel, your subscription automatically renews at the end of each billing period using the payment method associated with your account. By purchasing Pro, you authorize our payment processor to charge the applicable recurring subscription fee and taxes until you cancel.

Payments for VertexClass Pro are processed by Stripe. VertexClass does not directly store your full credit or debit card number. If a payment fails, access to Pro features may be limited, suspended or terminated.

Cancellation and refunds

You may cancel your VertexClass Pro subscription through the subscription management functionality provided by VertexClass or its payment processor. Cancellation stops future renewals. Unless otherwise required by law or expressly stated at purchase, cancellation does not automatically provide a refund for amounts already paid. After cancellation, you may continue to have Pro access until the end of your current paid billing period.

Except where required by applicable law, payments are generally non-refundable once a billing period has begun. If you believe you were charged incorrectly or more than once, contact hello@vertexclass.com. Nothing in these terms limits consumer protection rights that cannot legally be excluded.

AI credits and usage limits

Certain features may use AI credits or other usage limits. The number available depends on your plan. Credits have no cash value, cannot be transferred between accounts or exchanged for money, and, unless expressly stated otherwise, unused monthly credits do not roll over. We may modify credit limits or how credits are calculated as the service evolves and will communicate material changes affecting paid subscriptions where appropriate.

To keep the service sustainable, AI features are also subject to a monthly fair-use limit for each account, including on paid plans. When it is reached, AI features pause until the next calendar month; all other features keep working.

AI-generated content

Some VertexClass features use artificial intelligence. AI-generated content may contain errors, omissions or inaccurate information. You are responsible for reviewing it before using or submitting it. VertexClass does not guarantee that an AI-generated resume, recommendation, interview response or other output will pass an applicant tracking system, result in an interview or employment, meet a particular employer's requirements, or produce a particular career or educational outcome.

Resume and user content

You retain ownership of the original information and content you submit to VertexClass. You give VertexClass permission to process that content as reasonably necessary to provide the features you request. You are responsible for ensuring that information you submit does not violate another person's rights or applicable law.

Educational content

VertexClass educational content is provided for learning purposes. We make reasonable efforts to provide useful and accurate material but do not guarantee that all educational content, code examples, explanations or AI-generated materials are error-free or suitable for every purpose.

Courses on Udemy

Some VertexClass courses may be distributed or sold through Udemy. Purchases made directly through Udemy are processed by Udemy and are subject to Udemy's applicable payment, refund and other terms. VertexClass Pro subscriptions purchased through vertexclass.com are separate from Udemy purchases unless explicitly stated otherwise.

Intellectual property

VertexClass and its original course materials, animations, graphics, branding, text, software, educational explanations and other materials are owned by VertexClass or used with appropriate permission. Unless explicitly allowed otherwise, they are for your personal, non-commercial use. You may not reproduce, resell, republish, redistribute, scrape or commercially exploit substantial portions of VertexClass content without permission, or bypass access controls or subscription restrictions.

Acceptable use

You may not use VertexClass for unlawful purposes, gain unauthorized access to accounts or systems, circumvent subscription or AI usage limits, abuse automated features, interfere with the service or its security, upload malicious code, resell account access, or use the service in a way that violates another person's rights.

Service availability

We may add, modify, replace or discontinue features as VertexClass develops. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability of every feature. Maintenance, technical problems, third-party outages, security incidents or other circumstances may temporarily affect the service.

No warranty and limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, VertexClass is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee that the service will always be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for a particular purpose. To the extent permitted by applicable law, VertexClass will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from use of the service, or for employment, hiring or educational outcomes. Nothing in these terms excludes warranties, rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

How we handle personal information is described in our Privacy Policy.

Termination

You may stop using VertexClass at any time. We may suspend or terminate access when reasonably necessary because of a violation of these terms, fraud or suspected fraud, abuse, security risks, or unlawful activity. Where appropriate, we may provide notice before termination.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as VertexClass evolves. The date at the top shows when they were last changed. For material changes affecting paid subscriptions, we will provide notice where required by applicable law.
